What role does the theatre play in our life?

We believe that theater is so important in our digital age .Theater has existed in the world for centuries.In a society that is quickly being taken over by technology, it is important to keep the history and culture of our society alive. Going to the theater and enjoying the performing arts is just one of the many ways to keep our society's culture and history alive and well in our rapidly changing world.

1.Theatre - a building or outdoor area in which plays and other dramatic performances are given.

2.Theater plays several roles: -To entertain us. Whether the show is a stage show or a motion picture (movie), the main reason for going to see the show is for entertainment.

-To enlighten us. Depending on the type of show, it may be trying to give you a new way of thinking about ethics or politics, or how to overlook stereotypes, prejudice and racism. Of course, they could also serve to do the exact opposite.

-To inspire us. Some movies and plays are there to open our imaginations to the possibilities that we would never have though about before. Whether it’s a science fiction show that dwells on the subject of space travel, or travelling deep beneath the surface of our own oceans, these are the kinds that help make us think of things we can do to challenge our own souls into deeper interests.

3.Theater teaches as much about the history and cultural significance of the performance arts as it does about the students participating therein. As much as the works of Shakespeare, Beckett, and Albee are taught to students in theater programs, they are simultaneously taught life lessons which may stay with them far longer than “Wherefore art thou, Romeo?” In order to bring life and realism to a character, students are forced, often without knowing they are doing it, to study their own emotions as well as have compassion for the emotions of others. Without this compassion there cannot be understanding, and without understanding there is little hope that the student will be able to relay any emotion that is not his or her own. Confidence and self-esteem is built as students pour their individuality, their heart and soul, into a performance, and are literally applauded for their efforts. At the end of the day, theater education is important because students leave the program not only more knowledgeable students, but better people, than when they began.

We found out that theatre - a building or outdoor area in which plays and other dramatic performances are given. The theatre is one of the most ancient kinds of arts. For centuries people have come to the theatre for different aims: to relax, to be amused and entertained, to have a good laugh, to enjoy the acting of their favourite actors and actresses. Some people like drama, others are fond of musical comedy. The subtlest theatre-lovers prefer ballet and opera. In our country there are a lot of theatres: big and small, new and old, famous and not very well known. The Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow is among the most famous theatres in the world.
