Результаты проведённого исследования
We have learned the material related to the event sacrificed ten-year anniversary of Ice Bucket Challenge, we have noticed other challenges which are common in different countries and we have highlighted the main psychological problems interfering people to achieve meaningful goals.
1. A challenge is a genre of Internet videos in which a blogger performs a task on a video camera and posts it online, and then offers to repeat this task to his friend or an unlimited number of users.
2. We provided the following examples of challenges which are common in Russia and Great Britain below:
- The cinnamon challenge is a food challenge that gained viral recognition on social media in the early 2010s. Cinnamon dries the mouth and throat, causes coughing, vomiting, and cinnamon inhalation, which leads to difficulty breathing and the risk of pneumonia. We don't recommend to participate in this challenge.
- The hot pepper challenge (also ghost pepper challenge or chili pepper challenge) is an Internet viral video fad, consisting of a food challenge that involves filming oneself while eating and swallowing a chili pepper that is high on the Scoville scale and known for its piquant (spicy-hot) qualities, in particular the cayenne pepper, Thai pepper, habanero, ghost pepper, and the Trinidad moruga scorpion pepper; the video is then uploaded to the Internet.
- The Ice Bucket Challenge is a volunteer fundraising campaign aimed at raising awareness about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and funding funds for research into the disease. The campaign is organized in the form of a challenge, in which a person, usually after receiving a personal challenge, must pour a bucket of ice water over himself and make a donation.
- The salt and ice challenge is an Internet challenge in which participants pour salt on their bodies, usually on the arm, and ice is then placed on the salt. This causes a "burning" sensation similar to frostbite, and participants vie to withstand the pain for the longest time. The challenge can be recorded and posted on YouTube or other forms of social media.
- The Water Bottle Flip Challenge is a challenge that involves tossing a plastic bottle partially filled with water so that it rotates, falls to the surface and remains on it in an upright position. The trick gained international distribution in 2016, and numerous videos have been posted on the Internet demonstrating the success of adherents of this entertainment.
3. Next, we have identified the main problems that can prevent you from overcoming the challenges in terms of psychology and physical strength.
- Mismatch of expectations on the part of the friend company and the other friends. For example, if an employee values freedom, and the employer rigidly fixes the time of arrival or departure. In the case of friends, almost the same thing happens, but not finding common ground is fraught for all representatives of this caste of society.
- Failure to meet set goals and objectives. This can happen if you haven't set clear goals or haven't had time to figure out how everything works.
- Lack of necessary knowledge. For example, if an employee has exaggerated their skill level, and the job involves regular communication with foreign partners.
- Conflict of interests. It can escalate into mutual misunderstanding and emotional decision-making.
4. Finally, what solutions do we offer.
- Accept responsibility. This will help you see the resources that can help you cope with difficulties.
- Don't dwell on the negative aspect. It is important to actively look for the positive sides in each situation.
- Be persistent. Losses and difficulties are not a reason to retreat, but a chance to show resilience and look for alternative solutions.
- Interact with others. In a team, you can use the knowledge and experience of other people, find new perspectives and solutions.
- Use visualization and an intelligence map. These tools will help you see problems in a new light and think about possible solutions in a more organized way.
- Take care of mental health. Taking breaks and engaging in relaxing activities will help restore strength and avoid emotional burnout.
- Accept failure. Don't be afraid to try new ways and experiment with different solutions, even if they don't work.
Вывод
In conclusion, I learned that challenges are a cool way to get out of the usual state, however, it is not always safe. It is important to overcome challenges together, not to panic, and always follow safety precautions when we try to overcome fear in an extreme way.
