Eco-friendly transport and ways to reduce pollution
Проблемный вопрос (вопрос для исследования)
How can we reduce pollution caused by transport?

Results of the Research
During our project, we studied a lot of information from different sources. We read articles, watched videos, and looked for facts about transport and the environment. This helped us understand the problem of pollution and find eco-friendly solutions.
To study the main causes of pollution connected with transport from different resources — we created a word cloud
It shows the most common words related to transport pollution such as smoke, petrol, traffic, noise, and CO₂. We found out that cars using petrol and diesel are the main source of air pollution in cities.
To explore modern eco-friendly types of transport — we made a mind map. We searched for information about electric cars, bicycles, trams, and hydrogen vehicles. The mind map helped us organize what we learned and compare different green transport options. We discovered that electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as bicycles and public transport, are the most eco-friendly means of transport today.
Moreover, to identify eco-friendly transport habits for teenagers — we created a questionnaire asked our classmates about their daily transport choices. We analyzed the answers and found that most students use public transport or walk, but only a few ride bicycles or scooters. We understood that teenagers can make a big difference by walking, cycling, and using public transport more often instead of private cars.

Additionally, we knew more information in order to make our research more complete, we decided to ask students to find out what actions teenagers themselves consider the most effective in reducing transport pollution. We wanted to see whether students are ready to take real steps toward an eco-friendly lifestyle and what changes they think are possible in their daily life.
The results showed that most teenagers believe small actions can make a big difference:
It's important to develop recommendations for reducing air pollution in our area, so we designed an eco-friendly booklet. We used the information we learned to give practical advice: use bikes, plant trees, take public transport, and organize “Car Free Days.”
We concluded that if everyone makes small changes in their transport habits, the air in our town will become much cleaner and healthier.
All these steps helped us not only collect and analyze information but also understand how our everyday choices influence the environment. We learned that even small actions can help make our planet cleaner, greener, and safer for future generations.
Вывод
Our project focused on exploring the impact of transport on the environment and discovering eco-friendly alternatives. Transport is one of the main causes of air pollution in cities, producing harmful gases like CO₂, smog, and other emissions. Understanding this problem is very important because pollution affects both human health and the planet.
During our research, we completed several activities that helped us study the topic deeply. We created a word cloud to identify the main causes of transport pollution. We made a mind map to explore modern eco-friendly types of transport, such as electric cars, bicycles, public transport, and hydrogen vehicles. We designed a questionnaire to learn about teenagers’ transport habits and analyzed the results to see how small daily choices can make a difference. Finally, we developed an eco-friendly booklet with practical recommendations for reducing air pollution in our area.
These activities were not only informative but also practical. They allowed us to collect and analyze real data, organize knowledge clearly, and propose solutions that can be applied in everyday life. Our project shows that even small actions—like walking, cycling, using public transport, or choosing electric vehicles—can have a big impact on the environment.
The importance of our project lies in raising awareness among teenagers and the local community. By understanding the causes of pollution and learning about eco-friendly transport, people can make more conscious choices. Our project helps highlight that protecting the environment is not only a global responsibility but also something each of us can contribute to every day.
In conclusion, our research demonstrates that education, practical activities, and small lifestyle changes can significantly reduce pollution and promote a cleaner, healthier, and greener future.
