Raindorests In Peru: One of the few left On Earth

It is estimated that close to 60% of area is covered by rainforests in Peru, mostly, taking up areas that is placed towards the eastern side of the Andes, within the Amazon basin. Rainforests in Peru is known for the huge conglomeration of the whole lot of numerous endangered plant and animal species. Besides, these rain forests also are the place to find many indigenous tribes, covering most part of the lower Amazon basin like the Shipibo, Ashaninka, Nahua and also the Matsiguenga tribes.

But off late, the amount of exploration, expansion of roads, logging and agriculture has enhanced and this has lead to a loss of useful amount of rain forests.

To save rainforest, a lot of attempts are being taken by the country including preserving 54 million hectares of natrual enviroment in the coming years that might be slowly raised to a greater figure. In order to save rainforest, the country intends to break down the 54 million hectares into different groups like ecotourism, national parks, native reserves and sustainable forestry improvement.
