During a tournament, take a few moments to get familiar with your fellow players. Only move with the force of your hands and arms when you make the actual stroke, rather than the weight of your body or pivoting shoulders.

Following your approach shot to the green, make sure you scan the area for a divot, and take the time to fix it. A ball hit high can land hard and make big dent in the grass, which can cause problems for people putting on the green when they follow you. Use a divot repair tool on the spot to fix it and return it to its original state.

Remember that this shot is the only one that matters right now. Whether you have been hitting well or poorly so far doesn't matter - you're only as good as your next shot. Anxiety about earlier poor plays can really have an effect on your game, so do your best to push them from your mind completely, rather than dwelling on them.
