The main character, "Lucy" (Barrymore) has practically no short-term memory due to a automobile accident. She remembers every thing up until the point of the accident, but link retains no learn more here new me...

I recently had the pleasure of seeing the movie, "50 Initial Dates" starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. (Note: this report contains spoilers for the film. If you haven't seen it however and do not want me ruining the surprise, you may well want to put this report aside till right after you have observed it.)

The major character, "Lucy" (Barrymore) has practically no short-term memory due to a vehicle accident. She remembers every thing up till the point of the accident, but retains no new memories of anything at all that has occurred because. When she goes to sleep at night, she forgets almost everything that occurred that day, and awakens thinking it's the day just before the accident occurred.

I'm confident you can imagine the challenges of such a condition! Any individual she meets, she forgets. Holding a job is almost impossible given that she cannot bear in mind the earlier day's events. Relationships present another challenge. When Henry (Sandler) meets Lucy, there is instant attraction among them, but every single day she forgets she met him the day just before. It seems impossible to have a lengthy-term relationship with Lucy, considering that she cannot even bear in mind him! Lastly, Henry gets the bright concept to make a video that she can watch every morning, detailing her life since the accident and her budding romance with him. Lucy also begins to maintain a written journal, so she can skim by means of the previous entries and read about her life from her own perspective.

Though the scenario is check this out challenging to say the least, this film consists of a lovely metaphor for new beginnings. How much baggage do we bring to each new day in our own lives? How many grudges do we hold? How many disappointments do we cling to, and let them color nowadays?

Though we cannot totally forget like Lucy, we can undoubtedly make a choice to wipe the slate clean every single morning and start off over once more! It is frequently our own refusal to let go and move on that causes the most discomfort. Each day can be a new starting if we pick to make it so. Every night before bed we can pick what we want to hold and what we want to release. We can grow to be an individual new, purely by the power of our thoughts and intentions. The toughest component is deciding precisely who we want to grow to be, and possessing the courage to see it through!

I am at the moment doing this in my own life. I'm pulling out the old, dust-caked parts of myself that I deemed unacceptable years ago, and giving them yet another appear. And I'm discovering they aren't so bad. -) What about you? Are you ready for a new starting? Are you afraid of beginning more than? There really is not anything to fear but worry itself. When you actually start the procedure, it becomes wildly thrilling!

Maybe you happen to be content with oneself already. If so, that is wonderful! No need to repair it if it ain't broken. But if you happen to be living in a vacuum of dissatisfaction and boredom, it might be time to write the next chapter of your life. Or even a whole new book. You are the author. What do you want the storyline of your life to say?
