Rhode Island Real Estate - The East Side of Providence is one of the premiere locations to live in Rhode Island. It's central to downtown, yet it appears some sort of away. In case you are one of the lucky individuals working/attending school at Brown University or Rhode Island School of Design, College Hill (map below) is a good way to reside. Nowhere on College Hill is more than the usual couple of minutes from each university. Most of the time, you would even be in a position to walk to the schools. Additionally, College Hill also borders Downtown. On Friday night, a lovely walk along the brick sidewalks of school Hill will lead you straight to WaterFire.

Unless you wish to live so close to the school, take a look at Wayland Square. Still only a few minutes by car, or even a slightly longer walk, Wayland Square offers upscale shopping and dining. A few of the finest homes in Providence take presctiption streets that filter straight into Wayland Square. Elmgrove Ave, Wayland Ave, Taber Ave, and Angell St. are fantastic places to call home. Blackstone Park, Moses Brown School, and the Wheeler School are within shouting distance.

The East Side starts to seem like a European city from May, when the spring temperatures start rising. The lesser known Hope Village, merely a mile from Thayer St,. is another good spot to dine and shop with the locals once the sun begins to shine. From the end of Thayer St., follow Hope St. north, and you may encounter Hope Village that is where you can the famous Seven Stars Bakery. The village can be only a quick stroll towards the Brown University football stadium, so the sports fan will invariably have something to appear toward.

Wickenden Street is an additional good spot about the East Side. Conveniently located near 195, Wickenden Street is near to the highway, Downtown, Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children's Hospital, and India Point Park. The park is a starting point for your East Bay Trail, which is a bike/walk/jog trail that goes up to Bristol, RI.

Finally, if you are a runner/biker/walker or have pets and children, an excellent destination to go is Blackstone Boulevard. A trail runs directly along the center of the boulevard, which gives a great path for exercise enthusiasts to stretch their legs! Enjoy the path, because it runs for the Pawtucket City line!
