Benchmade Griptilian - Benchmade's Greatest All-Around Cutting Knife

The benchmade griptillian is one of Benchmade's most popular models, and for very great cause. The Griptilian was my first excellent folder and, boy, did I choose a great one to start with! The blade is 3.4" extended with a decently wide belly. It is not an enormous knife, but is large enough to complete the job. Whilst I choose a slightly bigger knife for some tasks, the Grip is as huge because the law enables in many states and can do whatever you will need it to complete. Steel is 154CM, which was the first greater finish stainless that I had used.

The modified drop point was great, even though I truly have a slight preference for a more typical drop point shape. Even so, it probably worked too, or even better, for my purposes than a normal drop point would have.

The handles do feel a bit low-cost and light, however they still really feel great in the hand and did the job properly. The Grip worked properly for every thing that I asked it to complete. The size was about best for pocket carry as most of the time, I wear jeans, so I can simply carry virtually any size knife comfortably. Even with dress pants, the fit was excellent.

The Axis Lock was incredible - effortlessly the very best lock kind that I have employed (and there isn't a lot more entertaining than flipping it open and closed). The 154CM steel held an edge far better than any knife that I had owned. While any stainless steel will rust below the right circumstances, I had no difficulty with rust spots at all, and I sweat a great deal when operating. My friends could not believe how sharp it was out of the box. I asked it to do some jobs that a pocket knife truly shouldn't have to do, and it did them effortlessly.

The only purpose that I do not have the Grip now is since I lost it at my church's work day, and I could have cried when I realized that it had disappeared. The knife isn't low-cost, comparatively, but nicely worth the value and I want to get an additional one as soon as possible! It will be one of my leading choices for a good medium folder. The Griptilian is huge adequate to do the job without obtaining in the way or interfering with travel. If you'd like a great multipurpose knife, get a Grip!
