While all fresh juices will sometimes contain pulp, you can decrease the amount of pulp in your fresh juice by using a coffee filter. You might not enjoy drinking your juices with the pulp. Strain juices through a cheesecloth or a coffee filter to get rid of the pulp.

You should avoid chugging juice blends too quickly, no matter how delicious the recipe might be! Sipping your juice will allow you to appreciate the complexities and nuances of flavor. Start digestion of the juice by letting your saliva mix with it.

In order to maximize the health benefits of your juice you should use fresh produce. However, if your produce is too ripe, it will not juice as well. If you notice bruising or soft spots, you should trim it away before juicing. By doing this, your juice will be high quality.

Don't mix types of juice; either make fruit juice or make vegetable juice in one container. Both are great for you, but your digestive tract uses different enzymes to break them down. Make it easy on your digestive system by separating them, so that they will be better absorbed. Apples, on the other hand, are the exception to the rule. You can use apples as both vegetable or fruit juice, you can add a nice taint of sweetness to vegetable juice you make, so take this into consideration.

Ginger is the Earth's miracle-plant for soothing the gastrointestinal system. If you add ginger to your freshly squeeze juices, it will impart a nice flavor and promote better health. It has been touted as a way to ease inflamed ulcers of the stomach, as well as digestion issues, such as acid reflux.

For that little extra flavor kick, add a little bit of ginger in your vegetable juice blend. Ginger can even be used to mask the overly strong taste of other vegetables. Research has also shown ginger to be a great way to lower your blood pressure, among other heart health benefits.

If you are juicing due to a health concern, start with dark green veggies as the base for your juice. Use the juice from vegetables, such as spinach, broccoli or Swiss chard, for about fifty to seventy-five percent of your drink to give the boost of nutrition. Use fruit juices for the remainder of your drink to enhance the sweetness and taste.

When juicing dark colored fruits and vegetables, don't forget the affect the colors can have on your teeth. Darker juices will stain your teeth and can discolor them long term if you drink them often enough. This includes carrot juice and beet juice. If your teeth are prone to staining, brush your teeth delicately after consuming these kinds of juices.

If you want to introduce new vegetables, do this one ingredient at a time. If your stomach has issues with the vegetable and does not find it agreeable, you will know which vegetable to avoid in the future.

If you love fresh juice but cannot stand pulp or uneven texture, you have a few options. For the cleanest and clearest juicing results, use cheesecloth or a coffee filter to strain out pulp. This will also cut back on foam.
