All proper I admit I do not constantly like to cook, specially when time is brief and we have run behind since of what seems like endless errands and such. I constantly have a pound or two of cooked ground beef in my freezer. That way I can whip up a casserole, goulash, taco's, or throw some chili into the crock pot. I usually season some for tacos and place it in the freezer also. It can be utilized for taco salads, tacos, or for a treat some meaty nacho's.
I confess I retain a handy box of hamburger helper in my pantry also. My daughter's favoritequality buy fridge freezer these days is the double cheese quesadilla.
That cooked frozen chicken in the freezer can be turned into a chicken salad or with a tiny seasoning some wonderful chicken fajitas.
Specially in the summer time I maintain some frozen hamburger patties on standby to just throw on the grill for a rapid meal that the kids enjoy.
For side dishes fresh veggies and fruit is fantastic. And I typically open a can of peaches, pears, or fruit cocktail to go with my meals.
Don't forget if your are browning a pound of hamburger for a meal it is just as simple to do 2 or three pounds and put the additional in the freezer for future use.
So choose out 4 or five easy meals that you can do the preparation ahead of time for and keep them stocked up. Then on the days you didn't make a meal strategy or run short on time just whip it together, it beats hitting the local drive-ups and is considerably much less high-priced and a complete lot healthier.
