| − | If you look at the top rated computer hardware evaluation web-sites, none of them list the Critical M4s as the top of the top performers, but even upgrading from a 10k rpm velociraptor to a Crucial M4 is a quite noticeable functionality bump. Granted you get the largest bump from more recent devices that boot from UEFI compared to classic BIOS, but even older machines will have new existence breathed into them with an SSD. I did have 1 problem with my 256GB M4 in that the NAND controller obtained misplaced and no extended appropriately communicated with the SATA controller on my Laptop. The correct was as easy as turning my Computer system off overnight at the electric power provide. It was a little bit tense, but for me it highlighted the reality that an SSD will not give you any warning when it fails, so frequent backups of local data are no more time optional. If it's data you are not able to afford to pay for to lose, again it up regionally AND in the cloud. I would and have purchased multiple Critical M4s and will do so all over again.
