Sumpah Pemuda Day (Youth Pledge Day), October 28th, 1928 is a very historic day being a milestone in the national awakening that drove to the independence of Indonesia in August 17th, 1945. Its 84th anniversary in 2012 is going to be massively celebrated by Youth Organization of Shiddiqiyyah (OPSHID) throughout Indonesia by building quite phenomenal monuments of Sumpah Pemuda.

This process of building is estimated to involve over 1000 young people from 50 districts / cities in Indonesia including all committees, volunteer of building, cooks, architects to artists. Its groundbreaking will be officially commenced on September 15th, 2012. Supported with total motivated struggle, the process will be held within 40 days. The monuments are scheduled to be presented to on October 28th, 2012.

Unlike most monuments as we know, the monument is so unique, but full of meaning and benefit. Not shaped in sculptures, towers, gateway, historical texts or other symbols usually displayed only, Sumpah Pemuda Monunent is designed as Rumah Layak Huni Shiddiqiyyah (Shiddiqiyyah tangible Livable Home/RLHS). It is specified with the average area of 5x7 meters, height 4 s / d 7 meters, reinforced concrete walls, tiled floors, decorated with artistic ornaments, covered with three bedrooms, one living room, one family room, kitchen and bathroom. For this reason, the monument is not only unsightly, but also serves as a place to stay that is dedicated to the poor. Such monuments is certainly rare enough. Furthermore when hundreds of them are built up and scattered across the archipelago.

The monument will totally cost more than 1 (one) billion purely derived from OPSHID members their own without asking for help from any party nor the government. At present, the building process is complete at its stage of the foundation excavation.

Generally speaking, various youth organizations is busy to hold a demonstration, the demand for demands, or just holding a ceremony in relation to Sumpah Pemuda day, OPSHID has choosen to busy serve their motherland, Indonesia.

As a matter of fact, the construction of this Sumpah Pemuda monument has been started since 2010. And all the processes is run under the guidance of The Honourable Mursyid Thoriqoh Shiddiqiyyah, Kyai Muhammad Muchtar Mu 'thi. Up to now, it has standed 71 monuments spread across 30 districts / cities in Indonesia. And from 2012 on, it will be centrally built in one town began from the town of Jombang. There are 30 monuments spread across 12 districts, including Ploso, Tembelang, Peterongan, Diwek, Jombang, Jogoroto, Megaluh, Gudo, Mojowarno, Sumobito. When summarized to the age 2012, the amount has hit 101 Sumpah Pemuda monuments.

Expect OPSHID will have efficiently developed loads of monuments in the sort of RLHS, several ages later on there might have stood 1000s of Sumpah Pemuda monuments.
